The Fourth of July, a.k.a. Independence Day, is a federal holiday in the United States that commemorates the first signatures of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, which declared our independence from Great Britain.  From this day forward, the United States learned the true value of independence.

With independence came freedom and with freedom came responsibility.

With freedom, we are able to choose without being restricted.  With responsibility, we had to take accountability for actions and decide a position of stance in what is acceptable for a society as a whole.

Well, long before the Declaration of Independence, the human body was taking a stance and accountability of each individual’s actions on the body.  If you treat your body well, then your body treats you well.  If you treat it bad, then bad things happen.

So, if you don’t get a good night’s sleep, eat fast food, have poor nutrition, no exercise, and a very stressful job…you would be very susceptible to sickness, diseases, and obesity.

If you eat healthy, get a good nights sleep, have good nutritional habits, stay active, and workout daily, chances are that your body will treat you well and you will feel refreshed, rewarded, energized, and overall healthy.

This is where responsibility plays an important role in our total wellness.

You have the choice to live a healthy life.  Here is a secret about living a healthy lifestyle:

In order to live a healthy lifestyle, you have to
Eat Right, Exercise, and Stay Active!

I have been in the fitness industry for ten years.  I have seen fad diets, popular one day and unknown the next.  I have seen the trends in fitness equipment, types of workouts, and club styles.  I have seen the trends in nutrition, supplement intake, detox, etc.  The one thing that I do not see, however, is people eating right, exercising, and staying active.  I do see people exercising.  I do see people eating right.  I do see people staying active.  But what I rarely see is people doing all three: eating right, exercising, and staying active.  Why?  Well, with what I have seen with in the last ten years is that there is no validity in those statements individually.

So what holds truth can also be invalid:
You can transform your body if you eat right.
You can transform your body if you exercise.
You can transform your body if you stay active.
All three statements hold truth up to a point.  You can only go so far by following only one statement.  It is very hard to separate those three statements and try to get the results that you are looking for!

The logical truth in body transformation and living a healthy lifestyle is that you need to eat right, exercise, and stay active to reach total body wellness.

You must do all three together.  If you don't and only follow part of it, then the entire statement no longer holds truth and becomes invalid.

So what have we learned?
1.With Independence comes Freedom
2.With Freedom comes Responsibility
3.With Responsibility comes Choices
4.& With Choices comes Validity

Enjoy your 4th of July!
